What legends or urban legends you know?

I live in southern Louisiana. We have some of the strangest ones.
I have always been told that if you sleep with more than one pillow under your head the Coush Mare will come and get you. She is the smothering ghost. She was once a house slave. She had an affair with the "master" and got pregnant. When the wife found out what had happened she kill the slave's newborn and then tried to kill her. With no luck might I add. To seek revenge on the "master" and his wife the slave smothered each of there children with there extra pillows. One by one, night by night till she got to the wife. The "master" was waiting up and kill the slave with one shot.
When you feel the pressure and tightness on your chest you know the Coush Mare is trying to get you!!!!


My grandmother told me that one and I still have a hard time sleeping with more than one pillow in my bed.

Right now I'm having a hard time convincing my mom that Captain Kangaroo and Lee Marvin did not fight together in Iwo Jima and that Fred Rogers doesn't have tattoos under that cardigan.

My dad actually sat me down the other day and told me that he wanted to talk to me about something important. He said that he was told that some sick people are putting needles infected with HIV positive blood under the handles of pumps at the gas station, so I should be extremely careful.

I didn't have the heart to tell him that that one's been going around since the beginning of the internet. :)
