If the President feels bad about the nation's opinion of him—a meager 25% of those surveyed in a June Gallup poll approve of Bush's performance—all he needs to do is pick up that same poll and keep reading. According to Gallup, just 14% of people express confidence in the current Congress. That's the lowest measure in the 34 years Gallup has been tracking government institutions.

All this will equal a GOP landslide victory in 2008! I can't wait. Then perhaps this country will get back on the right track. Seems a lot of people are missing the 'golden years' of the mid 2000's when Congress and the President worked together so well, the President didn't have to use his veto power.

I would like to know where they find the people to take these polls! I know soo many people who approve of Bush! I have never been asked to vote in any of these polls! I even live near the Gallup headquarters in Omaha. Maybe I could stop by... It's amazing we haven't seen the congress pole on the news either! I wonder why?

I am not sure what you are laughing at. This is our country's Government you are talking about. According to you the President and the Congress are both worthless. The fact that you are more worried that your boy got a slightly higher rating than Congress than the fact that both are doing a pathetic job really illustrates how our government got so bad to begin with.

The 14% is not for the Democrats in Congress, it's for the ENTIRE Congress, including Republicans. So don't laugh.

I can guarantee if the Democrats get the cojones to pull out of Iraq, their approval rating will go way up!

I don't care... Congress is corrupt with lots of kickbacks from the NRA (Rifle Association) General Electric, AT&T, Goldman "Slacks" and the Israeli Alliance in the US (ever wonder why we always back Israelis instead of Palestinians) I'm a Liberal... Sure.... I've hated politics to death because of how much it favors the wealthy while the poor gets screwed... Stop bragging conservative, it's not like your Republicans are better, in fact, they are more corrupt.

Considering Dem's control the congress I think this is hillarious.

The downside though no media TV channel is covering this fact besides FOX News.

The results are skewed, because all of the republicans who lost the last election are now sitting at home with nothing better to do than answer polls.

I love it. Because I'm smart enough to know it's because they haven't impeached bush and ended the war.
