Look for books by Catherine Clark (Truth or Dairy is the first)
The Georgia Nicolson books by Louise Rennison (beginning with Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging)
Simon Pulse Romantic Comedies (a series by different authors -- try Royally Jacked, Spin Control, and Do-Over by Niki Burnham, to start -- they are a lot like Princess Diaires)
Megan McCaffrey's books beginning with Sloppy Firsts
Cathy Hopkins' Mates, Dates series
Jacqueline Wilson's Girls Quartet: Girls in Love, Girls Under Pressure, Girls Out Late, Girls in Tears

I can highly suggest the Xanth Series by Piers Anthony. It is science fiction/fantasy. Look it up on Amazon and read some exerpts. I read them all when I was in my teens and twenties, and I still have them and will re-read from time to time. He also has other series you can look up, The Incarnations Series is a little "older", maybe twenties and thirties, but still very good.

It's historical fiction, but it's really good, not dry at all - "North By Night" by Sherryl Jordan (still one of my favorites!)
One of my friends LOVES the series you're talking about, and she's also a huge fan of Marian Keyes and Janet Evanovich (Stephanie Plum series). They're a bit more adult - don't share them with your mom or she might be shocked ;) - but good!!
Happy reading :)
