the other night, my boyfriend and i had sex and the next day, i was a bit sore. i wasn't worried about this. he told me that when he got home the head of his penis was a bit red and inflamed. then the next morning, he woke up and it was burning. said it was very irritated. i woke up this morning and the lips of my vagina are pretty swollen and a bit irritated looking and even a bit dry. it's kind of an uncomfortable feeling, but nothing unbearable. he said that when he woke up this morning, it had gotten worse and his penis is more red and swollen. and there was even a discoloration in his urine.
this has never happened to either of us before. i have never been tested for STDs and have been having sex with him for a few months now. prior to him, i hadn't had sex in over a year and experienced no odd symptoms such as these. anyone have any idea what this may be??

i thought it was an allergic reaction at first too, but we didn't use anything. i don't recall using anything new... and we didn't use a condom or lubrication.

you might just have a yeast infection. they can be transfered to partners. if you are really worried - go to planned parenthood and get tested.

did you use a lubricant or product you hadn't used before? This almost sounds like an allergic reaction to something. Still, to be on the safe side, you need to see a doctor and likely he will want to test you for std, which is really a good idea for anyone who is sexually active.

go to the doctor and get checked out, because if you have an infection and you leave it untreated it could cause major health issues for both of you.
