There are several things that you could do to improve your memory:
1. If you have trouble remembering names of people you meet then repeat their name approximately 5 times in the conversation. Pick something out of the their face or body that is remarkable. Associate that feature to the name. Make it snazzy so that you head will catch it. Ex. A woman's name is Rose. Rose has a large Nose. Nosey Rosey.
2. If you have trouble with remembering certain events then I suggest you use a Calendar program either online or on paper that reminds you of important events. You can set online calendars to remind you several days in advance or the day of.
3. If you have trouble with deadlines, tasks that should be completed etc. Then use Franklin Covey and 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Also, try Evelyn Wood and Reading Dynamics. She teaches wonderful way of retention on reading material.
Now, pull yourself out of the slump and say to yourself I can do this. I am armed with resources. If it is truly important to you then nothing can stop you from fixing it. You have to be deligent and don't cut yourself any slack. Then pretty soon it will be second nature to you.
Good Luck and God Bless!!

Hie Kc. Well to me when you are facing this kind of problem it is better for you to try to get some vitamin E which can help you to have a good memory, but if you are still keep forgetting things then it is better for you to bring a reminder, which it could be your mobile phone or a small note book, when ever you start remember this things it is better for you to note it down either in your mobile phone or in your note book, and when you have done the first thing then take a pen to cancel it , or if you are using your mobile phone then try to set the time on when you need to do, so from there when the alarm rings at least from the message you key in your mobile phone will be giving you the ringing tone for you to check and when you see it is better for you to do at once by rather of you doing later, and when you have done it just delete it and so that you can have it in a daily basis for you not to forget things and when you can start remember it then try not to used it and maybe it can help you to think more and more better. Try this and hope it might help you.......................
ALL THE BEST......................

Old and young people suffer from short-term memory loss.
Writing things down or putting them into your cell phone as reminders, does help a great deal.
If you happen to be talking about something like going from one room to another, then forgetting your question or what you were looking for, that's more of an attention deficit problem.
That would have to be determined by a doctor asking a lot of questions.
God bless, and good luck.

It is very frustrating, isn't it? Just carry a note pad to jot things down, just in case. Then start using association techniques for remembering things. Sometimes this is helpful. For instance: you park your car in a large lot and want to remember where you parked. Don't just look at the lane number. See which store you're closest to. Where the entry door is. Is there a tree close by? Things like that. Then jot down the lane number on your note pad just in case, but try to find your car when you return w/o having to look at the pad. Some of memory is training. For some of us, it's more complicated and we need a little assistance.

a great variety of what you reported looks like bipolar affliction. i recognize that it does not look like it could have the style of reliable result on you, in spite of the undeniable fact that it truly can. you will desire to attempt seeing a physician who will prescribe drugs for this. basically see if it facilitates in any respect. you have severe "low sessions", racing techniques, and an lack of ability to pay interest with bipolar affliction. the two one in each of my mum and dad have it, and that i see the outcomes it has on them. it is vast and lots extra drastic than you're able to desire to think of. Ask to be dealt with for bipolar affliction. If issues do no longer replace on the drugs, then it is back to sq. one. And via the way, this does not sound like schizophrenia. you do no longer would desire to worry in that branch. This looks like something lots extra viable. basically see a physician. you will locate an answer. I under no circumstances suffered from melancholy for an prolonged time, and that i had no theory what replaced into incorrect with me. It took a on an identical time as, yet now i'm ok. despite the fact that diagnosis you wind up with, i'm helpful there's a treatment.

If you are young, you can encourage retention of facts by memorising poetry. It not only increases your word power, try memorizing the books of the Bible - it impresses people no end.
But if you find something to help the elderly with their loss, I would be pleased to hear from you.

It helps to write it down on paper. This reinforces what you have to do, and it will remind you later if necessary. I write my grocery store order down, and when shopping, the list is usually kept in my purse. I refer to it as needed. Try it!
