Atlanta Braves!!
They will at least get the wild card, if not the division, all they need is another starting pitcher! Oh, and Smoltz needs to be healthy the rest of the season.
Go Bravos!

The Washington Nationals and this second half of the season will be an exhibition for next year. My interests will first be with the pitching staff. Four of the five opening week starters have been on the disabled list, only one has returned. Can they come back and how will the replacement starters do.
Luis Ayala is back after a year and two months on the disabled list. Hopefully, he can round back into shape.
Will Nick Johnson ever be able to recover from the fractured leg. It looks like he will be out the entire season, now.
How much selling will the Nats do at the trade deadline. Possible departures might be Young, Belliard, Lopez, King. It would be tough to trade Young with Johnson's health up in the air. Belliard would make a great role player for a playoff contender. Lopez has a lot of talent but is streaky. King would give some team a one batter lefty-lefty match up possibility.
If I remember correctly, Las Vegas' line on the Nats was 68 1/2 wins. The Nats would have to go 33-41 in the second half for 69 wins. I would gladly settle for that.

NY Yankees.
They will do better than the 1st half, but it would be hard to do worse. I believe they will make a run for the wild card. Boston is hurting now, and not playing well. They are missing Schilling and now Ortiz is hurt.
The Yankees play Tampa Bay, Baltimore, Kansas City the rest of the month. They very well could be around 5 games out when the month ends...if so, they will be in good shape. Hughes comes back soon, Clemens is throwing well, and hopefully Pettitte gets going.

The Seattle Mariners
A wild card finish seems logical, but the pennant is not out of the question with only 4 1/2 gb, especially with a now dominant Weaver and the (soon to be) promotion of OF prospect Adam Jones.

SF Giants
They are going to continue to blow this year. Then Bonds will break the HR record and be traded along with Durham, Winn, and hopefully Pedro Feliz. They will bring up some of their young talent and let the kids play. Then Brian Sabean will be fired and the Giants will actually field a young team with speed next year.

Sorry Cubs fans, when Carpenter, Muldrer and Molina get healthy and Pujols dominates in part two, the Cards will bury the Cubs. Nobody is going to stop the Brewers this year. They are just getting started.
Obviously the Brew Crew and Redbirds are my favorites.

I'm a Yankees fan and I know that they have stunk it up the first half but I believe that they will turn it around and make a run at the Playoffs.

Now with Pedro comin back in august and Delgado and Beltran lookin like themselves again. The division will easily be ours and we will see the Red Sox in the WS and take it in 6.
