Yes, the love of my life (my husband) was broke when I met him, was homeless at one time in his life, and does not make much money at his job nor will he ever. But he treats me like a queen, and I'll love him and stand by him forever!

The love of my life is broke. He is NOT a loser and does have a job (actually he makes about 3000 a month!) The problem is that we have three children, and man, kids are expensive. Seems like we never have money for anything, but money isn't everything, we love each other, regarless of what's in the bank, and that is what is important. I won't lie to you and say that it doesn't cause problems, becuase it does, and besides, even if he was making double or triple that, it still wouldn't be enough, because there is never such a thing as enough money or too much money.

If my love was broke, I would still love him because the soul and mind that I once fell in love with remained the same. However, I would be a little upset that he kept this from as it provides the impression that he thinks I'm petty and only care about the "m" factor, which is materialism. Wealth or lack there of, does not conduct my heart.

Well unfortunately Me and Broke make a perfect match.
It's really not love if you stop loving a person because you find out they are Broke. It takes a shallow person to drop someone they say they love because they are broke. I believe in helping and theirs always a way out of everything. If you love them you will stick with them and help them out, through thick and thin.

If she was the love of my life, I'd make sure she never went broke in the first place.

Yes. Money cannot buy happiness. If one can love and be loved than that is better than all of the riches in the world.

Yes I would. It doesn't matter, I have my own money. If I loved them enough to spend my life with them, it would be unconditional ... it wouldn't be about the money. Love means way much more than that. And there would be no his money, or my money. It would be OUR money.
