If they are doing a biopsy as well you wont be able to have sex...if just the colposcopy than you should be able to still have sex...although it may be uncomfortable as the doctor will open the speculum as far as they can to be able to see better

I ahd the same thing done. Some times they just look around and take a few swabs, and soemtimes they do a biopsy with it and they pinch off the skin cells and you will be sore. They out this yucky brown stuff inside of you to stop any bleeedign from pinchign the cells off, and they spray you with numbing stuff. Also they first put a vinegar solution into your cervix so they can see any white areas. They tell you to wait to have sex for a few days. You might not smell the best down there either, and you will probably have some of that brownish stuff come out and light spotting. I just remembered they do not do the biopsy til after you have the baby i believe they will just look.

I had a colposcopy at 15 weeks and you may be a little sore after with some cramping but intercourse should not be a problem. Happy Anniversary!

I had a colposcopy executed at 36 weeks, wellbeing care expert did not decide for to anticipate some reason. they did not do a biopsy or maybe touch my cervix, basically had a glance. they did not touch something because of the fact they did not decide for to annoy something and push me into labour. Now i will basically might desire to circulate back for a greater thorough one after 6 weeks PP

I actually have to have a colpo, if you're pregnant they do not like to do a biopsy until 6-8 weeks after delivery. Since they biopsy a piece of the cervix, it could cause miscarriage. You can have it rescheduled for after you give birth. Its your body and your choice. If you want to wait, then do it!

You should be fine. I have had a few done. You might be a little sore and have to wait until the next day to have sex.

You'll feel a bit knocked about down there - I'd reschedule.

Have you been given the directions for cleaning yourself out? I would NOT do this right now. The medication could cause problems.
You WILL be sore, but it does not interfere with sexual activity.
Please wait until after the baby is born UNLESS they are doing this because they fear cancer of the colon.
These tests are AWFUL unless you are asleep!!!!!!!!!!!
