Its still warm in September, with heat indexs at or around 95-100 but not like july and august with heat index near 110 most of the time (speaking of the interior part of Florida, not the coast) The coast usually has a heat index of 105 in the middle of the summer. October is still really warm and humid but not as bad. The coolest months will be December - Feb. From that time on, it starts getting warm but really cool temps at night

It will just start to be cooling down from the summer in September, expect temperatures in the 80s or even the low 90s. Depending on where your are, you'll see temps in the 70s by the end of October.

The coldest months would be December-February, but don't expect a freeze. You might have some days in the 40s, but most days will be in the 50s or 60s.

You will really need to check weather for where you are going closer to that time. Because of hurricane season, and just other factors, it sometimes can be hard to predict. You can probably bet on the weather being in the 80's in the day and 60's in the evening. Though this may not feel cold to you, bring some layering--especially if you will be on the beach at night. Once you have acclamated to the Florida weather a bit, anything below 75 degrees feels cold to you!
