I wish I made a difference, I wish I mattered, because I really need,, to be needed.. but
I tend to believe that I don't matter, and am pretty much useless, I think it's a self-esteem issue.
I have a lot of work, and things I accomplish everyday, and lot's of children to take care of on a regular basis, and I have volunteered many many times, my friends and family call me needing my help, and I am there.
If I had a higher self-esteem,and believed I made a difference, I would be out there changing the world, but I make a difference in the people closest to me right now, because they need me, the only thing I give this world is not adding to the contamination, or sucking it dry, I am not a more, more person, but I do try and give my kids everything they need, and I help balance this world between the mean souls, and the empathetic ones, (I think I am kind of nice?)
But I am really no one important.

Every being has a purpose. Everything with purpose makes a difference, causes change. Without change, there is no growth. Without growth, nothing can exist....these are sayings I have heard in various places I cannot remember that sort of collectively help me to make a difference in this world.

Not in this world but in my family world I would have to say yes. What I do to make a difference is think forward and don't turn back.

I recycle and take care of my daughter instead of someone else having to. I also work so that I'm not sucking up welfare that I really don't need. I am respectful of others even though they are not to me. I get out of my car and help people push their broken down vehicle off the road even if I'm wearing heels. I hold open doors and say thank you. You really don't have to do much to make a difference and since I can't do it all I at least try to be decent to others.

Current society are moving in the wrong direction advocating terror, bring destruction, killing one another, destroying the world by high dosage of pollution or chopping down tree. You can make the difference ,pray for a change ,pray for peace , joy and happiness. Pray for kindness ,tolerance, compassion and righteousness.Pray we can love our enemies.Pray for better Head of state & leadership that can rule with the wisdom of King Solomon.

I'm a teacher, and while we don't see the results for our efforts, I do feel that we make a difference. Especially when I meet former graduates with a good job and they come back to the school to thank me for being strict with them and forcing them to do their homework. Yeah, I guess I do make a difference.

Yes. I am a true patient advocate and when they say they are hurting and I go to get the pain med and come back with them being asleep I wake them up to give it to them. You can still hurt and sleep and different people have different tolerances to pain. It is THEIR pain. Not mine or not the doctors and if the medicines prescribed do not help then I call the doctor to get it increased or changed. If I get no order then I call another one of their doctors. If still no response then I write them up and go give my patient a back rub.

Just being here makes a difference. Changing anything in the past, present, or future can be a catastrophe.

all you gotta do to make a difference in the world is be yourself! it all starts with random acts of kindness! one thing leads to another and soon the ripple effect takes effect and many people are making a difference!
