I am a smoker but this has never happened before! well I have been waiting to see if it will go away and each day it keeps getting worse and worse! but later on in the day it will go away and then I will be fine! What could this mean? ohh and if you have any suggestions on how to make quitting smoking easy then please let me know too! thanks!

You need to see a doctor...they can tell if i you have asthma or any other respirayory diseases or it might be panic attacks. I know I have panic attacks and need to quit smoking too. I thought I would be able to that one time when I couldn't swallow or breathe. I thought that if this what it was like to die from smoking I should quit but haven't. So let's do it together....we're short on money anyways so let's stop smokin' so we have money to do other things with!!!!

First, diagnosis on a computer is impossible, see a doctor to allay your fears. Second, at least you know you have to stop smoking. It ain't easy, there isn't any easy way out. I don't know if they still make them, but I used something called One Step At A Time filters. That worked for me for quite a while. The permanent solution for me was hypnotism. I was smoking 2 packs a day and quit overnight, haven't had one in over 15 years. The point is, whether it's the patch or gum or hypnotism, quit! It will be the best thing you can do for yourself. Now, a warning, when you quit, after a while your sense of taste and smell will get back to normal and food is going to taste really really good. That's where the weight gain comes in. You might think about joining Weight Watchers or something for a while to make sure you have some discipline with eating at the same time. I wish I had!

it could be asthma, anxiety, actual chest pains that could lead to a heart attack. it all depends..i don't have much information from you as in:
=age
=do you suffer from any kind of phobia-that would explan anxiety
=how many cig do you smoke per day for how many years?
=do you cough while you're having the breathing problem? any phlegm?
=any history of asthma?
u will need to see a doctor for it could be serious, or it could be as simple as being allergic to something in the house.

the best way to quit smoking is to slow down your smoking habit (smoke less each day). it'll be hard, but set a goal date and at the same time keep yourself busy and mind off of cigarettes.

If that doesn't scare you into quitting I'm not sure what will... I quit a few months ago when I found a lump on my neck. I asked God to heal me as a puffed on a cigarette and then I asked myself how can I ask God to heal me when I'm killing myself. If you want to live and be healthy make that choice and stick with it! Good Luck with you, and PS, my lump on my neck is gone! Look at this website too www.whyquit.com

I also did take Welbutrin to help with cravings, but I quit cold turkey which has been proven to be the best way!!!

GO TO YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY. This sounds like a very serious problem. It could be your heart or your lungs. And the dr. can get you started on an anti-smoking program. Don't wait any longer!!!

You could be developing a chest cold. OR, it could be smoking too much. When I smoke too much, I get the whole chest pain too.

Could be asthma, could be indigestion, could be a hiatus hernia, could be stomach ulcers, could be emphasemia, could be a partially blocked artery, could be the onset of a heart attack or it could be a lot worse. See a Doctor ASAP.
