Yes, it is indeed a choice we make as to how much we can devote to thinking process, because we are limited by time and some are also limited by capability to think deeper and deeper. There are some others though who do not know how to progress a thinking process to the finish and this leads to procrastination.... these are people who are afraid to take even minimal risks, people who have not learned to live with uncertainties.

What I believe is really putting us back.... is this modern values, which force us more and more into the doing and consuming rather than thinking through and planning..... as a result, we deceive ourselves believing that we are too busy to think matters through. This is sure to result in a slowing down of the pace of our progress.

You mean like saying what the hell after thinking and thinking and trying and trying? Yes, I have curtailed my thinking process when it dawned on me what futile things I was thinking on.

I don't curtail my thinking in the tiniest degree; although, I may tone it down, I never curtail it.

i think i often curtail really thinking about things, due to being busy with life, or other reasons, that is why i feel its important to set aside time just to think and analyze different things, whether its learning something new, researching, or thinking about life and events in my life
