Because, Carlos Mencia is a racist cad that plays off his on race to allow it.
I'm from Spain, but I don't mock or make fun of Hispanics/Latinos because I'm not that desperate for attention.
His entire career is a joke (one of the worst jokes ever).

Could it be because he epitomizes the disintegration of respect for our nation's past, present, and future? The attitude is helping to erode the conscience of our future gens? Or perhaps it is helping to feed the selfish attitudes that have so aptly been labeled to the American culture?

I don't know, either. I find him to be offensive, boring and down right dumb. I guess that may be what you could be thinking as well. It makes me mad that people get "popular" by being offensive.
