If someone says "I'll call you right back." In how long do you expect to be called back?

If someone says, "I'll call you RIGHT back." I would expect them to call when they are finished with whatever made them have to leave our conversation in the first place...a minute....5 minutes...whatever, but certainly within no more than say a 10 minute time period.

If someone says, "I'll call you back."...then this to me would mean they could call back at ANY time....right back or anytime later, including the next day or more.

Don't be thirsty. If someone says they'll call you back, that's what it means. I may tell someone I'll call them right back and get busy, bottom line. If this behavior is frequent maybe you shouldn't call him or her anymore. I just feel like if I tell you I'll call you right back, then don't dial my number until I dial yours... or if it's unbareable, just wait like an hour. When you call back don't ask "what happened, why didn't you call me back", just ask "are you still busy?" That way you don't look pressed.

I would expect to be called back in 2-3 minutes, but the truth is that they let you wait, and wait, and wait.........and maybe after 10 minutes they will call............if they won't forget about you........
