I cant believe that one dude says that Cincinnati is the worst big city for tourism. My guess is that he's either never been, or just didnt know where to go when he was in town. Here is a short list of thigns in Cincinnati, there really actually is a suprising amount to do:
1) Kings Island
2) Great Wolf Lodge
3) The Beach
4) ATP Tennis Tour (if in town)
5) Underground Freedom Center
6) Union Terminal
7) Go to Dayton and see the US Airforce Museum
8) Newport on the Levee
9) Newport Aquarium
10) The Reds
11) The Bengals
12) The Zoo (one of the highest rated in the US and the world)
13) Ft. Ancient Park
14) Riverboat Cruise on B&B Riverboats
15) The Riverboat Casinos
Etc. There is an absolute ton for most people to do.

There is actually a ton to do in Cincinnati. The first place to check is in CityBeat or Cinweekly. There are great restaurants throughout the city -- I reccommend Clifton for Indian if you are fan. If bars or going out are your scene, downtown is really developing more places to go including the new Bang Nightclub and a variety of other bars have recently gone in downtown. Also, its a hop skip and a jump across the river to Newport which is filled with tons of nightlife and daytime options including but not limited to: the alternative and awesome music venue, the Southgate House; popular bars like Jefferson Hall and Arnie's, and make a stop at the Haufbrauhaus after a Red's game and drink a stein.
If arts are more your scene, Cincinnati has a stellar summer opera, great national run shows at the Aronoff and a first class local theater in Playhouse in the Park. Also has a great Shakespeare company.
Local attractions include the art museum (which also hosts a wide variety of great programs), a great zoo, the Contemporary Arts Center, the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, An amusement park, and aquarium.
Don't forget Reds Games (cheap tickets because they aren't good) and Bengals in the fall!
Any city is what you make it and the naysayers who say Cincinnati sucks are those who refuse to go out and experience the city. Just go out and enjoy it -- whether it's walking by the river in Sawyer Point or venturing out to the suburbs. It's a good and (cheap compared to everywhere else) place.
Oh and Don't forget to go to Findlay Market ont he Weekends.

Nothing really. The Zoo is nice. Cincinnati is possibly the worst large city in the entire United States for tourism. Though they do have a baseball and American football team that people come out and watch.

The shopping is good downtown, nice zoo, big discount outlets just south of the city and across the river in Covington, there's an aquarium. There's also a water park. You can also drive an hour south to Lexington KY and there are bourbon distilleries for tasting tours, horse farm tours, Kentucky Horse Park, Keeneland racetrack.

You can go to a Red's game, visit their zoo (good zoo, actually), and stop by to see my mom. That is what I usually do. There is also a King's Island and Sea World near there.
