It is not that odd. You are not liberal because of two issues though despite what others say.
Gay marriage and abortion are wedge issues to stir up both bases and keep them from focusing on other things.

No
I am Pro-life but I do understand there are situations that call for abortions. Gay marriage is issue I don't get work up about.
I do understand there are gay couples that should be able to make some of the same legal decsions straight couples make like visitation in hospitals and living wills and what to do with their adopted children.

Those who think just because you are a conservative or liberal means that you have to believe only a certain way on all issues is foolish.

Those who think are hard to put in one camp or the other.

My leaning is to the right and I am Christian.

Why do we have to put a term on our beliefs? I believe in gay marriage and I'm pro choice, but I wouldn't consider myself a Liberal or a Conservative. I support what I feel is right regardless of what anyone thinks. We shouldn't put a label on beliefs.

You are a smart person. I mean come on, why do people take far sides and don't listen to the other's side? I like the way you think because you obviously think for yourself instead of listening to what others say a conservative should think, or a liberal.

And no, it's not odd. Both liberals and conservatives have good and bad points.

Not really. There are those who would classify me as a "liberal" (though I prefer "American"), and yet I am pro-life -- meaning no abortion, no death penalty, no bogus "wars" of offense); pro-border security -- meaning anti-amnesty for >20 million illegal aliens; couldn't care less about who is/was/could be gay or whether they want to be married -- if people love each other and feel committed, what is the crime in that.

"Liberal" or "conservative" labels are way too strictly applied these days, I think.

Good luck to you.

No. I consider myself conservative, anti abortion except in rape/incest/life of the child/life of the mother/sever mental or physcial handicap.

I am pro immigration and pro command economy and universial health care, I despise most rich people but I love Bush

Very few people line up along party lines totally.

Odd no, unusual yes. Sounds like you are able to assess an issue and come to a decision on your own. How refreshing.

I am a liberal who is pro-life and anti-big government. Not everyone fits into the tiny box the media gives us.

No, I agree with you on the pro choice, but still not accepting of calling it marriage for gays. Call it civil union or something else, but not marriage which is a union blessed by god.

I assume you are familiar with Guliani, the front runner in the race for the Republican nomination for President. He has views that break with the fundamentalist wing of the Republican party, too, so, I assume you are in good company!
