I am shocked that people still continue to treat 'the steroid' issue like it's still debatable.
Bonds said, himself, that he took something that the trainer gave him that was later identified as the famous cream and 'the clear'.

The only issue (possibly) to be debated was whether he knew it was steroids at the time.

He took steroids, that part isn't in question any longer, only intent.

That being said, I would give Bonds the nod anyway. He won Gold gloves and had speed.
The best left fielder, as a hitter was clearly Williams, but overall, I would agree with Bonds.

It might be a hard pill to swallow for many of us, but Barry Bonds is the best player that ever played that position. It is now time to give him the credit he deserves for a great career. The steroid issue can be debated for years as to his use and how that could of enhanced his performance if he took them, but he is the best.

It's a choice of three men -- the often overlooked Stan Musial, Ted Williams or Barry Bonds. (Dave Winfield isn't quite there with these guys)

If you toss out the steroid issue and just go by overall production and all-around skills, I would go with Bonds.

But, I would never argue with someone preferring Stan the Man or Teddy Ballgame.
