This was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and instead they let Jack Buck from Fox do it.

Fox does an awful job with their baseball telecasts.

I'm not from SF, but that would have been cool to have the regular PA Announcer there, especially since the SF Giants were hosting it.

This was a MLB event and not a San Francisco Giants event. The only involvement with the Giants was the use of the ballpark. Fox paid a large fee, and so did the sponsors, for the right to have their people involved.

I think they always have one of the network guys do it, though they should let the regular stadium guy do it. I'm sure the home fans would rather hear their own guy than that schmuck.
