If not can you honestly say that you have looked into the facts as well as some of the theories, before just going right to popular mechanics and screw loose change... ...?

If yes please tell me why and provide sources if necessary. I would also stress that you look equally at the debunking sights and learn the misinformation.

I really don't know because it made America look stupid. I am supposed to believe the CIA/FBI never knew someone might hijack a plane and smash it into a building! I am supposed to accept the USA military doesn't have fast enough jets to intervene in such matters. Clearly 9/11 could have been prevented because if it were so easy we would have had more but it hasn't happened again. Sounds like someone's finally got off their fat a%% to do something. I sure hope someone got fired over that, oh hang on no you voted him in for a second term right?

If it was a deliberate event designed to create a war over oil and fear then it certainly worked.

No - it is hard to avoid hearing about the evidence presented from both sides. There are things that don't make sense about it, but that does not mean that there was a conspiracy - it could just be that we don't know what the explanations are, just the outcomes. Maybe there is also a lack of precedent of similar events as this, and looking at things with hindsight might be a factor in creating questions and doubts. What about the bombings in Indonesia, UK and other places? It makes sense that these were also the acts of terrorists with motives. Do you really think that the government would knowingly let all those innocent civilians be killed like that, as well as letting all the firemen, police and other emergency service people go in and risk and give up their lives like they did? Also, think about the scale of what would have to have been done for this to be a conspiracy, as well as the costs. There are a lot of tragedies that people can think about and see ways in hindsight that better handling and systems may have reduced the loss of life.

I think this was definatly a conspiracy. The buildings are strong and they can stay standing during really stong winds, earthquakes etc, they are designed to do so. So how come when a plane hit it, it fell. I have heard that if you watch in slow motion just before the building colapsed, it looked as though there were explosions coming from the building. Like it was being detinated. When the first building fell the shock made the second fall, how come no other building nearby where effected? I would think if a plane hit a building it would stay up. and this was definatly planned, no one with really know the truth. Except those involved.

No I don't believe our government knew about it, planned it, or let it happen.

I also won't give you a full dissertation on the topic (could easily write one on how some people are)

But I will point out a few things.
1. the conspiracy theoriest want you to believe that the US government had somethign to do with this. That would be hundreds of people (actually more like thousands), who would be involved in the conspiracy to kill thousands of people. They would have to work in secrecy, and have very high training. Yet no one has come forward with a guilty concience. why not? there is no conspiracy
This is the same government that cannot keep the name of a well known government agent out of the news (scooter libby anyone?)
the same government that paid $600 for a toilet seat, and $400 for screwdrivers. And just paid $15 million to have a toilet developed for the ISS. Yet you want me to believe that there is a group who has such close intricate workings as to keep a plot to kill up to 50,000 people (there were that many in the towers when the attack started) silent? Bullshit.

I think too many people have watched too many episodes of the X files, and have not learned critical thinking skills.

The vast majority of the conspiracy theories websites and information is inaccurate, wrong, or misleading.

It wasn't planned by the government.

You don't even need to go into the deep evidence, although I suppose I should say i've read up on it a bit.

The damage done from the loss of the World Trade Centre and the gain of paranoia within the media and the country is way too high. No rightwing, centrist or leftwing government would do that to themselves.

If the U.S.A wanted to falsify evidence in order to enrich anti-islamic sentiment they would hardly need to blow up one of their most important buildings to do it. Did they not prove that by justifying their invasion to the U.N?

I've looked at as much as possible and read the report.

It was not planned by the government and not deliberatly allowed to happen either.

No one making this argument has ever offered one clear proof .

No, it was not allowed to happen, nor was it planned by the government.

And yes, I've seen the "facts" given to back up the "theories."

Never read so much hogwash in my life.
