When I was growing up, for many years I had a crush on a girl in my classes named Darlene.
Her family had some problems, from what I understood, and she was one of those girls who didn't care about popularity, and those things made her a target. She was constantly picked on, and therefore developed a very tough personality. I could only admire her strength.
And unfortunately for her, puberty hit early and hit big-time. She developed bigger and faster than a lot of the other girls, which really only increased ridicule for her. Unfortunately, by the time I was old enough to start dating she was already hardened by her treatment and wouldn't let anyone get close to her.
I would have liked to have been her ally. Just her and I against the world. But I honestly don't even think she looked up and noticed me.

Wow! This takes me back.....I was in kindergarten and so was he. His name was Eric Reed. I crushed on him every year until his family moved away I think in 3rd grade! We were inseparable on the playground! I did see him once more when I was 19 years old and the flush started all over again but I was engaged to get married. We just could never really hook up. I guess that was never meant to be. Whoever has him now is one lucky woman! Awww....that was when life was easy. I am almost 44 now, so that was a long time ago. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.......

Celebrity: Gabriel Byrne. I was 12, he was...45...omg, sounds bad put that way!!!!
Personal: Shane, he also was the class clown! I remember he would make this funny mouse noise when the class was quiet. He had blonde hair and brown eyes.

Hmmm... my first was Pilar when I was like 6 a school friend who I gave some candy or cookie everyday until my mom decided we should move and changed schools.
At the Hollywood level... maybe Winona Ryder at her first movies. I never really liked stars or famous women.

Personal - My next door neighbor. She was 2 years older than me, and we hung out everyday. I kissed her one day when I was 5, and she slapped me.
