What about: "Andromeda on a milky way" ?

2007-07-11 01:32:05 · update #1

Actually "Andromeda" means "think of a man"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andromeda_%28mythology%29 and "Milky Way" is the milky way, so: "think of a man on the milky way" ?

No humans would be around at that time to actually name it, but I'd go with Andromilky.

Well since stars and galaxies are maps of the heavens i think Andro Pl. would be fitting for future Thomas Guides.

The new galaxy will be named "Mildromeda", but we will not be here to see it. The Sun is scheduled to shut down in about 4.5 billion years and that will happen prior to the merger of the two galaxies.

Unknown, as scientists haven't given this scenario serious thought.

But if you want my bet, something like Milkmeda or Andromeway.
