On Monday, Vitter acknowledged being involved with the so-called D.C. Madam. A day later, new revelations linked him to a former madam in New Orleans and old allegations that he frequented a former prostitute resurfaced, further clouding his political future.

... on a happy note, the prostitutes did say Vitter was a really, really nice guy... lmao

Patricia, the GOP is supposed to be the party of superior moral values, isn't it? Also, if you look at this illegal behavior against the backdrop of Vitter's public remarks about marriage, family life.... well, it just doesn't look so good, does it?

This guy, SPECIFICALLY, ran on "restoring family values" and when he ran for Livingston's seat (who's infidelities ran him out of office when he was up to be Speaker of the House after publicly going after Clinton for his affairs) his wife claimed she'd never stand for any screwing around.

His heartfelt, honest confession only came AFTER Hustler called and he knew they were going to go public.

Even his apology was crap. He pretty much implied it was a one-time deal and that it was dealt with. Now it comes out he was a regular, frequent john in New Orleans.

Private life? Personal business? Sure, unless you make your upright morality part of your political platform. It's the hypocrisy that makes these Republicans fair game, and makes their affairs different from others.

It’s the Republican emphasis on “family values” that makes their escapades so much more interesting. Their hypocrisy is laughable.

They’re so busy preaching morality to everyone else that they apparently forget to practice it themselves. These sanctimonious, moralistic hypocrites are a disgrace.

Well let's get those few Republicans out of the way right now. Any speculation as to how many Dems will be on that list? I suspect perhaps the balance.

Hey, the man has urges . I have more of an issue with our hypocritical sexual mores in the US. But at least he is a Republican.
