all they need is some relievers Jones may have alot of saves but most of them were close, and he even lost a few of those. He is like Borowski from the Indians kind of a hazzard.

I think the Tigers have a shot, but so do alot of teams mostly because only half a season is done, and 2ndly because there are plenty of teams in contention. Don't buy the Tiger's world series stuff yet.

Well as much as people want to pick the Tigers or the Red Sox, another team can come up and surprise at any time.

But it may most likely come down to the Tigers and Red Sox. Which brings me to my next point. Even though the Red Sox only won 3 out of 7 vs the Tigers this year in the regular season, you can't ever really count the Red Sox out because Schilling probably coming back later in the season and his experience is huge. Not to mention that the Red Sox have a lot of veteran experience in the pitching (Wakefield, Timlin were huge in that comeback against the Yankees in 04 and Beckett destroyed the Yankees back in 03 with his masterful pitching) and lineup (David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez anyone? Drew and Crisp are hitting their stride finally.) that they put out every night. Yeah Papelbon may be a little inexperienced as far as the post season goes compared to Todd Jones of the Tigers but he time & again shuts down the Yankee order whenever they play most of the time plus you have to include that Keith Foulke did it in 04 with little post season experience.

But I mean I could be wrong, the Tigers do have great young pitching like the Marlins did in 03 plus a veteran lineup (Pudge, Sheffield, Ordonez) who can get it done night in & night out. They proved that they can beat the BoSox in four out of the seven games they have played this year. I do think homefield and pitching will play a huge role in their much anticipated ALCS matchup *knock on wood*.

The Tigers beat Cleveland in the first round, Boston in the second round, and then kick the Met's ******* in the World Series.
