Will it be ok? I put more in but I have no idea how long it was running like that. I'm a little scared because it only has 60,000 miles on it. I think the douchebag that changed my oil might have messed up...

I assume you mean when it "ran out of oil" that you had no oil on the dipstick. That is not good, but since you can still start it and it doesn't make strange noises you should be OK. If you had ran your engine with no oil, it is doubtful it would start, it would lock-up from no lubrication.
Years ago, at full service gas stations, attendents checked the oil level with every fill up. That is one of the reasons they were called "service stations", and cars needed a lot of service then. Just to be safe, you might check your oil when you buy gas. A car with 60K miles should not loose or use any oil in 1000 miles, so if your oil level is dropping in a tank of gas, you have a leak, or your engine has internal damage.Good Luck.

How long ago did the oil change place work on your car. It is the owners responsibility to make sure there is oil in the engine. DO you ever check the oil? You messed up don't start pointing finger of blame. Did you ruin the engine? At 60 thousand miles run out of oil and buy a new motor.

Get it to a garage. Rings, valves, pistons may all be damaged.
MAKE SURE IT IS FULL BEFORE YOU START IT>

Possibly a seal on the oil filter didn't set, or the drain plug is loose.
