In our office we recently installed a common server and everyone is connected to the server. We have one printer between 7 machines and every morning it gets held up and blocks everyone from printing. Because of which we have to call our engineer which is waste of time. Is there any way i can resolve this issue without calling anyone. (I tried deleting print jobs which blocks the printer but it doesn't help)

Your tech guy is being paid to fix this network problem - not keep it ongoing so he can fleece you.

Is the printer a network printer with an Ethernet port on it? If so, is it designed to handle the volume being pushed through it? Some lightweight print servers are cheap - too bad they don't work well. A good print server costs more.

Is the printer itself lightweight for the work load? This can cause problems.

Is the network print server driven from the network server or from some other pc? It should be driven from the network server.

Does the print server have a static IP? It needs one.

These are things that the network administration needs to address as I suspect you will not have access to or be able to alter.

Are the print jobs being deleted being deleted from the computer that sent them? If so, you may have to delete print jobs right from the printer. Next time you call the engineer, ask what they're doing so you can do it yourself. I worked in an office that had the same problem. I understand your frustration.
