Funny now you cons say that we don't call ourselves the only superpower. GWB has said that many, many, many times. Now that it doesn't hold water they say they never said it. Typical cons.

America is not the only superpower. We around the world see America bogged down by a peoples resistance using shoddy 1960's and 1970's small arms. Often the arm chair patriots will delude themselves right up until the end, this has happened many times in history. China is very powerful, notice how America does not bring " democracy " to China, or oust the dictator or roast China for wmd.

What a bunch of bunk...
First of all, we don't consider ourselves the world's only superpower. There is still China and the EU.
Second, bogged down is not an accurate description. We are part of the NATO force in Afghanistan. We won that war and have since turned it over to the international community. We are winning in Iraq even after 18 months of setbacks and status quo.
Lastly, spacewar is a bullsh*t website.

We've been stretched on two fronts before and won (no Biggie), the problem with the world is that they think they know what the American is thinking, the common mistake made is that they under estimate the resolve of the American people, that's where they get "surprised", and in a big way ! Let the Russians and Chinese play cards, when the big American cowboy shows up with a deck of cards, and a six gun, it ain't gonna be him that is "SWEATING" at the table !

I'm a citizen of the USA and I certainly don't call my country the world's only superpower. Stop reading so much of the left-wing liberal media. LOL
Personally, I would prefer that we bring our troops home. Keep all our money, technology, medical aid, etc... to ourselves. And let people who want to kill themselves (and have for centuries) have at it.

The U.S. is an entity. It cannot speak.
I don't recall any public official from Clinton to Bush stating that we are the "only" super power.
We should focus on the homefront for a while though - stop meddling in everything.

The worlds only super power ?
Pretty arrogant... Never heard us refer to ourselves as such. Sounds more like an angry reporter altering the story to fit his agenda.
