Rather than spend the extra 1.2 seconds to hit the button on the door, they have to use the remote which of course makes their horn honk. I think I'm going to carry one of the portable airhorns and blast it behind them as they walk into the store sometime!

Yes they do. Once I waited till a guy that did that went into a store then I bumped his car real hard with my hip & set of his alarm. He came back out and fixed it and looked all around real funny.( I had went back to my car.) Then he went back in. I waited about 5 minites & did it again. It was pretty funny! :0)

Mine only clicks. It does not honk. My son's though honks and he like to choose the time that I am walking around and right in front of the truck to "lock his doors" . One of these days he is going to have a BIG mess to clean up.

It used to, but nowadays a lot of cars do a much gentler-sounding electronic beep rather than the blast of the horn.

Oh gosh I so know what you mean!! But in our defense (Yes.. I say "our" **hangs head in shame for she too has been guilty of this**)...... in our defense.... ok my defense. lol.... my car's security system only kicks on when I lock with the remote vs. inside lock. Someone above was right..... many cars now just have an electronic beep so it is not as bad. But my last car had this gosh awful beep and I used to wait until no one was around then click it. I have to admit...... it was kind of embarrassing. Ugh. But I do sooooooo know what you mean about the blare. It is more than irritating. On behalf of remote users all over the country....... I apologize. *sigh* (lol forgive me?)

You are not is a particular good place mentally at the moment?

Hammer and their rear-lights are more low-tech and back to basic. Nice sound too.
Make them understand how sounds affect you.
Let them feeeel how your nerves are affected.

If you wanna carry out the air horn thing, could you be on a bike, one of those pedal ones? With a big grin excuse yourself with:I'm getting into the spirit of that locking business, still saving to get a car. Can I hold your key for a moment? Give them the mad "shining" look

all best, big hug and much love ;-))

I have been tempted to call the police and report the car dtolen. On idiot neighbor does that and when he comes home late at night he wakes up quite a few people.

Good idea. I'm glad that I have one that doesn't make the horn blow, but I also can't lock my drivers side door from the inside either.

yeah that does get annoying as hell, but then again, I have seen a few people fight back with those train horns you can buy off the net that hook up to your car.......... I would love to see one of those on a Yugo, if they even make Yugo's anymore

Sounds like you have some deep seated issues.
I thought you would have learned patience and tolerance by hanging out with Forrest Gump on the shrimp boat!
