It is quite similar to an oriental cockroach but the antennae are just shorter. Anyway it is most probably a cockroach - I think I have seen one similar to it before which I thought was an "aged cockroach".

It's a beetle cockroaches are a browish red and have little antenna like things coming out the rear.

As John R said, it is a ground beetle, in the Family Carabidae.

No. It's one of the many kinds of Ground Beetle. Very common under rocks outdoors, sometimes turn up in basements. Very active predators, and it wouldn't surprise me to find out that they eat baby cockroaches.

No, it is not a cockroach. It is a beetle of some sort. Looks like a potato beetle.

no, it is not a cocaroach, cocaroachs are a reddish-brown and wings are visible on their abdomen, that is most defifitly a beelte!

its hard to tell it looks more like beetle than a cocroach
