Again, lots of stupid people who only play soccer manager and simulation games but have never watched or understood football in the least are deriding Arsenal for selling a rapidly deteriorating Henry. Worth five players? Lol. He played about 2/3 of Arsenal's games last season and rarely played well. He has lost his searing pace and has looked rusty in his touches and shooting. I'd have liked to see him go for more money, and cash onto his status as a legend, but he's a "was" and not an "is". Spurs fans are so incredibly delusional. They had a great strike-force last season but the problem was that they had to rotate their strikers so frequently they lacked confidence, form, and rhythm. So what do they do? They go and get themselves 2 brand-new strikers. Being English doesn't mean they're gonna be good, idiots. So their squad is predominantly English, and they've spent a lot more money than Arsenal. They have about equal squads on paper, but in terms of coaching, playing style, chemistry and overall capability, Spurs have NO chance of getting into 4th. And why the f**k are people already condemning Arsenal to 4th position at best? Arsenal have very low chances of being EPL champions but they are still able to finish 2nd or 3rd. The EPL has shown time and time again that luck is often most important in determing the outcomes of games and consequently the season, and it'd take a lot of luck for Spurs to slip into the top 4. Maybe a massive injury crisis to Arsenal, coupled with bad refereeing decisions which harm Arsenal and help Spurs, and Spurs' schedule coinciding with their opponents' days of worst form and having severe injury concerns, and Spurs would then be able to beat Arsenal.

Right now, probably Spurs. And most of the team are English as well.
Henry was worth five average players, but now he's gone Arsenal look a little short in terms of strength in depth.
But football's not played "on paper" and Spurs' full potential has yet to be reached. So Arsenal are the better team where it matters, on the pitch.

On paper, Tottenham. They have Berbatov, Keane, Defoe, Robinson, Bent, Bale, Dawson, Lennon, Jenas, King and many others.
Although they are yet to show true potential, Arsenal have lost Henry and the team is starting to doubt their chances.
I think this could be a big year for Spurs, with the the inclusion of Bent and Bale, they should easily beat Arsenal and make it in the top four.

Obvioulsy Tottenham by far...the emirates still have some good players, but not as good as us, and they are low on confidence, they never really replaced Viera, now they have lost Henry, maybe others, all the rumours about Wenger and other players leaving next year!! they could suprise people, but i don't think so...and that is not a Spurs fan talking, that is my genuine opinion, i really dont think they will finish in the top 4, and top 6 may even be a struggle...whereas Spurs are going from strength to strength!!

Good question lots of stupid answers..........for those going on about spurs having English players well why don't we get rid of all foreign players and see how great this league of ours will be. Arsenal are a much better team than Spurs and they have shown it season after season, T H has gone sooooooooo what, he did not score against spurs last season did he? no it was the young players that showed you how football is meant to be played. The only way Spurs will have a shot at champions league is when hell freezes over get over it.

Best squad on paper would be Arsenal but next season both teams will have their own battle to see who finishes above each other for the bragging rites

The easiest way to work that out is which spud would make the Arsenal team and who would he displace.
Robinson-- no way makes too many mistakes
Dawson--- a good player but not better than Gallas or Toure.
Our back four is supeprior so the obvious choices left are Berbatov-- good player but not as good as RVP, and Lennon, not as good as Hleb, for those that don't agree, do you remember when Hleb come on as sub in the carling cup at $hite hart lane... he tore your team apart.
Spurs get really boring and predictable every year when they splash out millions they think this is their year.... sorry kids not this year, not next year , infact not in yours / my lifetime

Oh dear, the delusional pikeys from middlesex strike again....
spurs are vastly inferior to Arsenal, in EVERY way. they came close two seasons ago, and last season, we were miles ahead (only late results made the gap look closer).
Spurs are always "two years from greatness", unfortunately they say the same thing every season, even when they had Gross in charge.
Arsenal have had transition for the last three years, just like United have for a few seasons, so we'll be closer to the top next season. Spurs? Well, I think they'll be lucky to finish 5th - Newcastle look good, and they haven't wasted nearly £20m on darren bent!! lol

I don't care if Arsenal lost Thierry Henry, even if they are the worse team on paper, nobody cares. Their team has been and always will be a dominating force over the Spurs.
