Wouldn't it depend on how the thinking? If I was there thinking about death, filling myself with darkness and depression, that would be unhealthy. But if I'm there thinking about the people who have passed before me, thinking about how they might have lived, their dreams, ideas, and loves, what is wrong with that? Also, if I'm looking at the beautiful artwork carved in stone, or considering our existence, again, why not?
I spent time with my mother walking through old cemeteries. I was taught to respect the graves and honor the dead. She would show me how you could witness people's lives, if you pay attention. There are many stories written on those stones. Now, sometimes I walk through and think about Mom and those who have passed before me.
It doesn't really depress me. Death is a natural part of life. I actually feel a reverence for life, actually, and respect for those departed. It somehow brings me closer to people, though many wouldn't understand. Americans fear death, where other cultures actually accept it as part of the cycle of life.

I used to ride my bike around a cemetery when I was in middle school. I like to read the graves, see how old people were. Death is just a part of life.

I found it actually very calming and it was as if I stepped away from the busy pace of life. I went to put flowers on my grandparents grave and stayed longer that I thought just thinking and appreciating the quiet. Not weird at all!!

I use to when I was at art school. Some of the best photo's I ever took were at the grave yard. Lots of interesting shapes and lighting.
Was never scared of the dead. I am more scared of the living.
Nope your not weird at all - they are very interesting places, full of history and stories.
