It could have something to do with the hormone in the IUD that you are using. Sometimes the hormones used in birth control pills and other forms of birth control such as the IUD can cause a lot of discharge (I get this with being on the pill).

If you still are uncomfortable with the answer that you got from your dr then I would recommend getting another opinion and preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the dr that you currently see.

When exactly the discharge is more. Is it mostly before/after periods/after having intercourse. As you mention that no itching/burning is present. So it may be physiological/normal, if it really during the above mentioned time. So there is no need to worry.Maintain good hygiene to prevent infection.
In unani medicine tablets are available called as QURS - E - MUQAWI it is very effective in controlling WD of any cause. Take 1tab thrice daily with water. Start after periods and stop it when period reoccur. Use for three months. OK .Get well soon.

Something is definitely wrong somewhere if the IUD was inserted 2 years ago and up till now you are still having discharge. Usually the first 3 to 4 weeks after you insert an IUD it is expected for one to have a discharge as your body is getting used to the new addition to it, but if the discharge persists for longer than necessary, maybe 2 months then theres definitely something wrong.
You definitely need to get a proper check up, maybe visit another hospital specialized in gyno affairs

Consult a Doc and as per my opinion please remove the copper T immediately. If there are some infection it may lead to cancer.
