I am a very young 50 year old lady. I had some pretty bad times. But I had some wonder full times. When I was 6 years old it was my birthday,I had my first record player in a small
blue case a bit like a suitcase. I also had my first record which was a 45" it was bright red and By Danny Kay it was called now I am 6. I remember every word of it and in fact I still have it somewhere in the loft. Music has shaped my life and the very first pop concert I went to was the Beatles. I am still going to pop concerts the last one a couple of weeks ago to see Brian Adams. I still love to play my music very loud and I still enjoy going out clubbing.

I think you can remember a general feeling of having been a happy child or sad child and I think that shapes your personality as you mature. However, I think actual memories of everyday life are rare. For instance, if you went to the Bronx Zoo as a 4 or 5 year old, I don't think you can actually REMEMBER that even though you think you do. I think you keep those kind of memories because you are REMINDED of the event many times over the years either by your parents or through PICTURES that were taken when you were there. This makes you THINK that you REMEMBER and keeps the memory alive for you. I don't think you would have any memory of the Bronx Zoo at all if no one mentioned it again as you grew up. You would think of the trip initially, but it would fade out over time and be replaced with other information that is more current; it's like cleaning out files that are no longer being used in your brain. Just my theory and I'm stickin' to it!

Ofcourse , Everything happened to you as a child shaped who you are today , Well always seem to remember the pain more than the happiness and such .. But believe me your mind is still holding on to the great memories you had thru you're childhood and because sometimes you can't remeber it it doesnt mean you lost it . But don't you ever let go of you're favourite moments as a kid alot of people seem to do that and well it's wrong .. Thats why they're never completly ready to deal with the big cruel cold world out there.

I dont remember as much as i'd like too, alot of my memories are manufactured by stories my parents tell me and through looking back at family albums, I do however remember things that happened at primary school more from the juniors than infants, I remember stuff I did but dont remember thoughts or how my young mind used to be, I remember I loved to run pretending I was driving a car....lol
It used to feel as tho I was running really fast but probably wasn't, I remember being rubbish at rounders and this kid called gavin could hit it miles, also remember one for one on packets of crisps at lunchtimes and watching girls doin handstands and giggling at seeing their knickers wish girls did handstands into adulthood that'd be much more appreciated now

I remember it, and I wasn't that good of a child. It's better off not remembering it.
