value village-not for the faint of heart
You have to have time to shop there frequently w/o getting discouraged... each time may not be the time you find something It helps if you are of a smaller size as the"good stuff" seems to come from more well off people that tend to be more fortunate and able to have healthy size...so sizes 12 and up are less plentiful in the good stuff it seems but not unfindable. There ar e also a group of "shady types' that may be more often shopping there so if that bothers you you may not have the stomach for it. You have to check things over carefully to see if there is a defect i nthe clothing that may not be acceptqble like a grease stain on the back or a rip in an inconspicuous place so hold it up and examine in light. When you get a good find its worth it.
Otherwise just try the main clothing discount stores like Ross and Marshalls Kohls. Big sales at upscale stores like Nordstroms rack, macy's JCPenneys,Sears, etc
Also try REI during sales yo u can get real quality practical and good looking pants and shirts and shoes.
Ever consider taking up sewing? You can do simpler things and save.
