Politics is for the people. But some people think that it is a easy process of earning money. Those who want to earn extra money,power and socalled fame--it is the best career. But this was not before the Independence--the politicians sacrificed their life for the betterment of the people. Now a days it has become a den of opportunists. There are some honest politicians who think for the betterment of the poor,depressed , economically backward section of the people.For these honest politicians--we have faith in politics .It must not be a career of profits but of sacrifice.

Earlier politicians are 'Social Workers' serving the public at large wihtout any profit motive and enthusiastic. But as you said If at all politics is considered as 'career' the up-coming politician must have one of the or all the following qualification:-
1) An outlaw with an experience of at least half dozen kidnaps, one dozen murders, at least two or three rapes etc.
2) A person who is having bulk of black money(Unaccountable)
3) A person who is from a 'Family' already ruling any part of this Country.

IN FACT POLITICS IS A SOCIAL WORK FOR PEOPLE OF YOUR COUNTRY. BUT IN THESE DAYS THERE IS HUGE INCOME OF CORRUPTION SO PEOPLE ARE SAYING IT AS CAREER.

yes it is the best in all respects- being the extreme in corruption, adulations, hero worship, absolute power as well job satisfaction. this is only profession where the professional is onhis/her toes all the time with fear-phobia of being voted out next time.

very good career, if u don't have morals & ready to play communal cards whenever required. u should be shameless, and able to do any crime or get support from criminals.

Haven't you heard of politicians with poor or middle class back ground turning into millionaires? Swell kickbacks, commissions,donations....What else do you want?
