Often times people who are constantly asking about their looks are just "fishing" for compliments. I suppose they could be insecure as well. I think it's annoying. Ditto to seeing people constantly looking in the mirror!

Yes. This is typical if they are teens.But some adults are the same way. Thanks to todays magazines and tv shows. According to a Teen magazine I read YEARS AGO it said size 14 is a plus size..geeze I must be considerd super obese I wear a 16. Even in plus size catalogs have you ever noticed models are thin and not plus size what so ever? Todays society puts too much emphathis on looks they really do.

Yes, I do.
But I feel that our American society pays way too much attention to good looks, sparkling white teeth, thinness, athletic prowess, celebrity and fame. Who wouldn't be obsessed with their looks? Ugly people don't make it on television or on the big screen - usually. And who can you name who is just simply nice?

Yes and it bothers the heck out of me. A lot of times when they point out something that bothers them about themselves I don't even notice until they point it out! Everyone hates something about themselves but it is better to keep it top secret so someone doesn't see it if they don't already know.

What about people who ask about people who ask about their looks. What does that mean?
That they are dead inside I expect.
Which makes the person answering the person asking about the people who ask about their looks, sooo dead inside, that they have been resurrected into Y! Answerers.
