Okay, here's the deal. I just got off my period a few days ago. I know for a fact I am ovulating right now. When my period was done, there was no more bleeding. I have been having increased discharge due to ovulation since yesterday, but today it is tinged with blood. What could this be? My husband and I are not ttc. We haven't had intercourse since I started my last recent period. I'm kind of worried. I am going to schedule an appointment with my doctor, but before I can go, I just wanted to ask if anyone had any experience with this before. Thanks for your answers, and God bless.

I would think perhaps spotting, but you're probably past the point where you would be randomly doing that because of irregular hormonal cycles. Are you on any sort of birth control or other hormone pill? If you are, I'd bet you $5 it's just spotting because of that. I wouldn't necessarily call off the doctor's appointment though because if spotting becomes an issue, it could be beneficial to adjust your dosage or even switch to a different medication entirely. Hope this helped =) God bless you too. -V

Certain kinds of infections can cause this kind of bleeding (called breakthrough bleeding which is bleeding that can act a lot like a period but isn't). Cervical infections is one cause for this kind of bleeding in some women (myself included because I had a huge problem with them in 2003-2005).

Similar thing happened to me a few months ago. I ended up having my period again, 4-5 days. Haven't been to a dr in 15 years & never intend to go. Didn't sweat it. Everything was normal after that, I'm fine now. Just a fluke thing.
