When dunking a tea bag in a cup of hot water and then lift it out to drain and drip the bag almost allways spins in a clockwise direction...why???

it does? maybe it's just the way ur holding it? that side is heavier maybe?

The direction of spin is opposite to the direction of twists already there in the thread. You might have rotated teabag anticlockwise in the tea, that's why the thread gets twisted in this direction. when you take out the bag, it hangs freely therefore it tries to release the twists in the thread & therefore, rotates in clockwise direction.

Same reason water goes down the drain in that direction. Or is that counter clockwise? Wish I could help, but I'm clueless.

Maybe it's because of the hand you're holding it with? But I guess it also depends on the teabag. The weight might not be distributed equally. XD
