There was two undertakers for about 3 months. The Undertaker (the origional) had been beaten in a casket match by Yokozuna, after which, he disappeared for a while. Ted DiBiase then brough in a replacement "evil" Undertaker. Eventually, the real Undertaker came back, and the two squared off at SummerSlam. Contrary to popular belief, the other Undertaker was a journeyman wrestler whose real name is Brian Harris. He has also had stints in the WWE as Chainz of DOA, in ECW as Bulldozed or Killdozer, and in TNA as Brian Lee of Disciples of the New Church. Before Kane was Kane, he was Dr. Issac Yankum D.D.S. the evil wrestling dentist.

No, there was a period where mark calloway was injured, and Ted Dibiase brought in a new Taker (Brian Lee). The real Taker returned and there was a bout between the two.

It's not the first time WWE's tried to do the ol' switcheroo on the audience. At one point they had a tag team called the "Outsiders" while Hall and Nash were in WCW. The WWE "Outsiders" consisted of Glen Jacobs, who later went on to be Kane, and an indi wrestler I only know as Big Titan, who was the spitting image of Hall.

Yup, I remember those days. It was when the Undertaker was still new in the WWF and he still had Pall Bearer in his corner. They created a storyline where another undertaker appeared. The Undertaker fought himself and one was killed in the end. Guess they needed a new identity for the dead one, so they reintroduced him as Kane : P They both even guest starred in a Hulk Hogan Movie where they played the roles of alien bounty hunters, forgot the movie title.
