They pay taxes to America, they're a state. And possibly the luckiest one, they don't have many presidential candidates visit them.

At the time of the Geneva convention it probably was still a nation though a U.S. protectorate nation. It was adopted into statehood after that convention. There are arguments that the annexation or adoption was not condoned by the native people. the same arguments could apply to the other 49 states if you think about it. Those argument apply twice over for places like Texas and California that were first taken from natives and then taken from another country. The thing is we own Hawaii now whether the natives approve or not. It may not be fair or nice to some but it is a fact. There isn't a square foot of dirt on this planet that didn't get taken from somebody at some time. Thats just the way of the world and it probably isn't going to change.

There is nothing tangible that proves Hawaii is a foreign nation. They pay taxes they get to vote for representatives and for the President of the United States. The citizens of the District of Columbia in our nation's capital are less U.S. citizens than the people of Hawaii because of their lack of rights.

i think of that for the duration of this occasion he closed his eyes to data that contradict what he had to declare. playstation there is a lot extra data of Christian effect on US government than, say, the assumption of "variety," which seems to be unquestionable coverage and yet i discover no data that the electorate has ever supported it.
