There is an old folk tale of a home run Ernie Lombardi hit in Cincinnati that landed on a truck, so it went about 30 miles.
Mickey Mantle, Dave Kingman, Jimmy Foxx, guy named Ruth, Frank Howard, Harmon Killebrew, Dick Allen, Reggie Jackson are some of the old timers who unleashed monstrous shots. Mantle hit one in Yankee Stadium in 1963 that hit the facade above the upper deck in right field. Witnesses say it was still on an upward trajectory.

They say Mickey Mantle hit a 734 foot home run once. I'm not so sure about that though. I'm not trying to take anything away from Mantle; we was a great player. But 734 feet?

Your mom. And it went a few miles.
just kidding. But seriously, the longest home run title belongs to- NO ONE! Why? Well, distances are almost never recorded, and different people have been given this unofficial title throughout baseball history. As of 1995, the longest hitter is Cecil Fielder. See my source for more details.

Frank Howard hit a couple ridiculous home runs at RFK Stadium with the old Senators. They painted the seats he hit white. Upper, upper deck.
