Considering the constant modern day terrorist threats and attacks should the Government be issuing provocative Knighthoods to anyone who caused so much hatred around the world, do we need to remember that book?

Even if he deserved an Honour Is one man worth a knighthood when many innocent people could now suffer in a terrorist counter attack?

It does not make sense to me, no thought seems to have been given to the consequences of giving a Knighthood to him in particular.

Up to you. Giving in isn't exactly an English value, though.

Maybe to appease them further you can burn all the British copies of his book!

i think he deserve the knighthood. his books have deep meaning. many are offended by satanic verses, but hey, look at his other books. hes not bad, hes extremely TALENTED!
i like midnight children, its so real. describes the hardship kids go thru in rural and slum areas in India. not everyone is born with silver spoon. he worked hard, hes good and he deserves it.
