I can see that astrology may have some truth to it because of the way people happen to "coincidentally" fit their sun sign but do you believe ALL of it?
Like numerology and all that other crap?

To have a peep in to the future and learn if possible of what is there in store has held fascination for many all over the world from times immemorial. No wonder man has investigated every possible avenue, which holds promise. Many interesting methods of forecasting like Palmistry, Prasna, Upasaka, Samudrika, Tarot, Nadi and future through parrot, prediction through omen are prevailing in our country, but astrology and to very lesser extent of the above said methods can rightfully claim a large number of votaries.

Astrology is a brilliant subject and a careful handling of this subject will definitely yield positive results. Astrologers may err but not the antiquity of Astrology or the theory laid down on it. The opponents of Astrology, who, knowing not much or nothing at all of Astrology indulge freely in vituperations or tirades against Astrology, however its glory can never be buried.

Astrology, so far as its predictive part is concerned, is not such an exact science as Chemistry, Physics or Mathematics in which, it is possible for any person to wriggle himself out of any position however difficult it may be, without the divine grace, but in the case of Astrology, which is a very close approach to a science, divine grace must operate. Correct astrological decisions are not so easy to be arrived at, as it is easy to find out the sum of three and five or to work out any mathematical problem, which admits of only one answer when worked out even by many persons. The sum of three and five is always eight whether the addition is made in a sacred place like a temple or filthy place like any that you may imagine for yourself, but astrology is not a subject of so free hand. The Law of Karma is heavily counted in astrology.

If there is even a very remote chance there is something about astrology that can benefit humanity, don't you think scientists would investigate? The fact is astrology can and has been tested. The results have been constant, being that it fails to do better than chance.

Before giving me a thumbs down, can there be any kind of test that will satisfy both astrologers and science?

For me if one, just one person gets the following, I admit to being wrong. Just simply prove it.

The James Randi Educational Foundation offers a one-million-dollar prize to anyone who can show, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event. The JREF does not involve itself in the testing procedure, other than helping to design the protocol and approving the conditions under which a test will take place. All tests are designed with the participation and approval of the applicant. In most cases, the applicant will be asked to perform a relatively simple preliminary test of the claim, which if successful, will be followed by the formal test. Preliminary tests are usually conducted by associates of the JREF at the site where the applicant lives. Upon success in the preliminary testing process, the "applicant" becomes a "claimant."

To date, no one has ever passed the preliminary tests.

No and you shouldn't. I believe some of what astrology says about a persons character but not the predictions like those for the year or your day. You determine your own destiny so if for example your horoscope reads you will break up with your partner that's junk cause that means every single Gemini, Cancer or whoever else will have to go through a break up, that is impossible. I don't believe in the predictions only the character analysis which can be quite fun.

Some of their predictions mite b true, but the solutions they give 2 sort problems may not b. If they can predict the future and know ways 2 sort it out, they would first fix their own lives and live happily instead of sittin n predicting others life for a living, isnt it!!!

think about it. astrology came from the Greeks who made storys up about the sky. many travelers have looked as the stars as a map when they were lost. so yes it is true
the past proves it
even the tudors used astorlogy but of course this is only a complex answer there is so much meaning behind it, like what planets are inline with what and of course horoscopes were made out of the starts. =]
soo how can that be crap when it affects are everyday life with out us even realising :]

No. Astrology today is a won ton soup of chaos and it's nobody's business. I like the stuff about the signs which applies on me and my surroundings, but i check first if it makes sense with living examples and other kinds of hints. :)

Everytime I read something about a pisces (which is my sign) it happens to be true about me, describes me, or something I like or feel connected to also. But when it comes down to their predictions stray from looking at those and I follow my own intuition as a human is suppose to
