It really depends on who is telling me. All of my friends, including the males who are aggressive, would only tell me that if it were true. I have a very good friend who was in a gang in California, and he did some really nasty things to people. He's the one who first introduced me to the concept of "curbing".
When it's at a party, or if I don't know the people very well, I don't always believe them. I am pretty good at reading people. I generally know who is blowing hot air and who is not.
Besides, from personal knowledge of how I was when I was younger, I know that most people who beat the heck out of someone don't go bragging about it. I happen to be a person who did beat people up when I was a kid. Generally, the only people who knew about it were the people who were actually present. I was too smart to brag about it, and they were too smart to tell on me. I wasn't a very nice kid.

Nope. Not ever since i got in a fight. Neither me or her won, it got broken up. We were both beaten up about the same, but she decided to say she beat me up. Then another fight broke out, and i DID win that time and made sure almost everyone at school saw it (during a passing period). =)

If someone my age told me that, yep, I'd believe them, because the people I know don't lie and most of us don't even consider fighting as an option. But, like the song goes, I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good ONCE as I ever was!

it depends on the person who is telling it, some people want other peoples approval so they make up big stories, some people are dangerous, you can usually tell if someone is lying through their eyes, and their body langage, people who cant look you in the eyes while they are talking to you are usually liars, and i never trust a shifty person

Not usually, but I've seen the "victim" come to school with a black eye...plus she SAID she'd gotten beaten up, so I belive the girl who said she'd done it.
