Suppose I fail a drug test one time, does that appear on my record for next time with other companies? I mean, everytime I apply for jobs, will it show on the "backround check" that I failed a drug test?

First, understand that a background check usually consists of:

1. Employer History
2. Criminal Background
3. Credit

They may check one or all three of these items. Provided that your referreing to drug tests conducted by businesses the answer is no. Not only are the results of these tests protected by confidentiality laws but also businesses do not make reports on people they interview but don't hire. The only way it could show up on a background check is if you've been prosecuted for drug possession / use. A criminal conviction would appear in criminal background check and many felony prosecutions get entered into your credit report, this sometimes includes crimes you were found not guilty of.

Unless your failing the drug test was somehow criminally related than there is no way for future employers to know it happened. Best advice: Don't use drugs, you WILL test positive.

Alright you applied for a job and failed the drug test.
Now you want to know if since you failed the drug test for one company you applied to work for.........will those results show up when you apply for work with any other companies.
Well, first off the company which you failed the drug test for is not allowed to disclose that information about you to any other company .
The company you failed the drug test at can not bad mouth, or give out negative information about you to any other companies for which you apply to work.
NOW IF THE TEST RESULTS SOMEHOW WERE A PART OF YOUR LEGAL RECORD, OR SHOW UP ON YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK.........THEN THEY HAVE BECOME PUBLIC RECORDS.........WHICH MEANS EVEN YOUR GRANNY COULD GO TO THE POLICE STATION WHERE THE REPORT WAS FILLED OUT AND GET A COPY OF YOUR RESULTS.
My advice is if you are going to do drugs, that you become better educated on how long you need to wait before taking a drug test. My best advice would be for you to quit all together.

Why would you fail in the first one? If you want to have a good job and make a good living, stop using.
No they cannot share that information with anyone. You would be safe.
