I just read a question about how to reduce prison populations, and many people said end the war on drugs and legalize them....what is up with that? what do u feel??? Dont u feel keeping these illegal substances at bay is worth it? They cause people to do stupid things and hurt others...and much more, whats ur thoughts???

I'm with you Max, I've seen what these drugs have done to my friends, family, and a lot of other people! They themselves cannot see the damage it causes! What's the purpose of living, if you have to alter your state of being !

I think you have seen to much propaganda. I lived in that world for a very LONG time, and while there are drugs that are really bad (meth coke heroin etc) most information about drugs are flat out lies told by the govt and religous institutions. I know folks who have smoked pot for 30 or so years and have what most of you would consider VERY succesful lives. Furthermore, it would be a much better idea to have folks that abuse hard drugs be in an out patient recovery program as that would be more helpful. As far as weed etc it is unconstitutional to make it illegal in the fist place.
The drug war keeps nothing at bay, didnt you learn anything from history? Prohibition doesnt work, all it does is CREATE a way for organized crime and terrorism. YOUR GOVT supports organized crime and terrorism by not making it a legal and regulated form of business.

What war? There is no war its a falso front put on by officials to make people think that we are trying to end the sale of drugs. Too many people are making WAY to much money off of the drug dealers and they are not about to wipe it out completely. I think that making drug legal would not fix anything beause then drug money would become taxable income and the drug dealers would not like that and it would be impossible to maintain regulations with diffeernt drugs coming in from different countries. I dont think the big problem are the drugs I think the problems we need to work on are why people turn to drugs why do people start using them to begin with. Why do so many people chance going to jail just to sell and transport drugs. If we could figure that out we would stand a chance of winning this fake war on drugs.

Who ever thought of the way to reduce prison population by banning laws on drugs is the dumbest person I've ever heard of. Drugs are a problem in the first place, that is why we made it illegal. Banning it would just put things back to zero, which is pointless. If prison is over populated due to drug related convictions, I think it is more appropriate to think along the path of raising penalties on the offenders, or to do more on the education system about effects of drug use, but nothing as stupid as accepting a problem to ease another problem.

i've got faith the conflict on drugs could desire to proceed. I truly have considered the outcomes what all sorts of drugs can do to human beings. I even have faith the punishments could desire to be lots harsher than they are actually! I truly have considered some rather undesirable issues that each and every physique had to do with drugs that would turn a sane individual insane, some truly have been very gory. that's my opinion!

I think they should be legalized and heavily taxed. They should only be available at a pharmacy to prevent as much abuse as possible. Alcohol is a drug and look at the destruction it causes yet a person can buy as much of it as they wish legally.
I've never done illegal drugs and never will.

I have "drugs" (marijuana) growing naturally around the 100 acres that I live on. Seriously, that's legal but if I pick it and put it in my pocket its illegal? I mean if something is grown natural in the wild HOW IS IT AN ILLEGAL DRUG. Ugh crazy.
