When my daughter was in first grade, the school held a shopping day in the cafeteria. The kids were sent to school with money to buy things for family members. My daugher bought a little metal sculpture depicting a mom, dad & little kid sitting on a swing. It was sweet and she was so proud of her grown up purchase. I will treasure it always.

I have children and people I love very much but the greatest gift I've ever received was a phone call. It was to notify me that I didn't need to testify against my stepfather. He'd abused me as a child and I'd waited 30 years to hear the words "I did it. I'm guilty!" He wasn't FOUND guilty, he admitted guilt and went to prison! He'd told people I was a liar for so many years and that phone call freed me.

My daughter, and my family. Love.
My nephew is in hospital right now, after surgery to drain an abcess on his hip. He kept calling for me all the way from the recovery room. x Puts it all into perspective.
Fingers crossed for him xx
