land of the midnight sun,were losing a few minutes a day but its pretty much light 24/7,its the oppisite in the winter,dark all the time

most the population is in the anchorage area, we do not get midnight sun there, although around the summer solstice we only get about 3 hours of twilight, no true darkness. Further north around the arctic circle, or as many call it, the north slope, they get the midnight sun. And yes winter is the exact opposite, during the winter solstice your looking at about 4 hours of twilight and the rest is dark.
