Is there anyway to find truth? There are literally thousands of different religions that say they're the right one. Why did God let people create some many religions? Obivously most of those religions were based on lies but people still chose to beleive them. I currently believe that its either Christinanity or Islam is the way to elightenment. Do I ask God? If so how do I do it? and how can i tell if its really god or satan talking to me?

As long as you believe in yourself, treat others with respect and abide by the law, life will be good. My mother is a "Christian" and because I am not, she reckons I will go to Hell for not being a "Christian". That's not very "Christian" of her. I was raped and she said it was the work of "Satan".
... Believe in yourself and you can't go wrong.

I think that the only way that your going to find the right religion is by researching and going to meetings that these churches that do interest you hold. Also, there are so many religions based on Christianity and have been broken off of the truth and mixed together with many other teachings. I think that the only way to talk or to be enlightened by God is by praying. To pray, you have to have a sincere heart and clear thoughts and just convey your questions and thoughts as if God was there with you.
The way to know if it is God answering your prayers or leading you from evil and sin, is to have a sense of peace in your heart. It is like that feeling when you know you shouldn't do something you know is wrong however, you still want to do it. It is a gut instinct and you will know in your heart what is right as long as you follow his teachings and are on a straight and narrow path!

First , please ask yourself what do you need. Happiness? Peace of mind? honest life? contentment? Anything. Just list them. Then ask yourself whether religion, at all, is in aposition to give one or more of them . If the answer is YES then shortlist the religions that can give you this and adopt it. No God is going to come and tell you. God has no religion . No shape. No size. No form. These religious heads have covered the formless with a form and a name and have shrouded that non entity with mystery.

Your God is yours for the asking and your religion is your own . You can choose to adopt all religions . For example , Righteous Living was called by the English as Hindu religion though there is no such word ever when this Way of Life was adopted. similarly Jesus Christ didnot start Christianity. he was a Righteous Living soul and gave away his life for a good cause . It is the others who have started the religion and have brought in the concept of God, satan , hell etc.

Look back in history and find if anyone has seen god. They may have felt It though

If you are actually hearing voices there is cause for concern. If you take a good look, almost all religions have a fundamental truth, they believe in one higher power, they encourage you to love one another, and they give you peace of heart. There is no right one and there is no wrong one. The best one is the one inside you. You must find a God of your own understanding. This means your beliefs and relationship. Regardless of the name of a religion, it really comes down to your personal relationship with God. Try talking to him as you would a friend, because that is what he is, your friend, your rock, your peace.

The ***PRAYNOGRAPHER***will try to shed some light on your inner problem. You seem confused, and in need for some food for thought. One can be taught to think, but not to feel. There is no true religion. They are all false. Your beliefs should be based on your faith. You must first have faith in yourself. Believe that which your instinct tells you, and follow the heart of your mind. Your conscience should be your god. All of us are born of innocence. Not of sin as today's religions say. Death is not the penalty of sin. Death is just the end of life as we know it now, because nature made this way. All things live must eventually die to make room for more life. Can you imagine if nothing died. All of life would run out of room. All would be doomed. Life has it's place. In this place is something some call death, but could it be a giant step forward. A reward maybe. Take the sperm for instance. It had a life. It had to eat, breath, and work. It to was not ever alone. Then it crashed into the egg of the female by being the bravest, and strongest. Then it had to die to become a fetus. The fetus became an embryo. The embryo the human. The human dies to become, we don't know. Just as we did not know what was in store for us in all our other forms that Mother nature had in store for us. Life does not end in heaven, or hell. These are boogy man fables that man uses to control his fellow man on mass. Death is a form of rotation. A natural order of moving on . The mystery of death is what make it so wonderful. That is why I do not believe in religions, or their gods. For most god is a crutch, or an excuse. If more would put their faith in them selves, and each other this would be a much better world to live in, and die in. Want to waist your life, or ruin it just go to church. Follow your own heart, and faith by practicing being a FREE THINKER. Mans present gods will die off just as the many gods of the past. The age of reason is in it's dawn.

"... Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, Islam... It is evident as a matter of logic that, since they disagree, not more than one of them can be true. With very few exceptions, the religion which a man accepts is that of the community in which he lives, which makes it obvious that the influence of environment is what has led him to accept the religion in question." -- Bertrand Russell

I admire you for searching for which religion you should accept based on truth, but if it's truth you truly desire then perhaps you should also question the very thing which all religions share in common. It seems that most people believe in God either because of the community in which they were raised, because it makes them happy, or because they believe God's existence to be true. Since you seek religion based on truth, then the third reason would likely be most pertinent to you. Question God's existence as a matter of truth, and if you are sincere, you will likely see that there is no true reason for believing he exists. If you do find a reason based on truth and sincere inquiry, then please, share it with the rest of us.

religion and faith 2 separate animals

faith is a personal belief in a higher power that created us and has a plan for our lives. religion is a way for ancient leaders to coral their people into one group unified by that faith

Many then used the ignorance (illitercy) of these believers to trick them into all sorts of rituals and personal sacrifices for their god (but really for the church leaders)

begin here. If you are already convinced that GOD is, consider why you believe this. How has GOD revealed himself to you?
What matter of character can you identity GOD with.
Is he the creator of all this beauty? then he must have this trait. Is he patient? Is he merciful? Is he interested in what he has created?
If I am created by GOD, then I have to believe that a part of him was given to me and that it the best clue as to who he is.
does this help?

Why don't you consider the only theories on life that make sense - science. Have you considered that all these religions are made up and possibly there is no god at all?
