Yes, I would, defently. Animals are alot like small children, They're trusting and many cannot defend themselves, I hate people who abuse or neglect animals and I admit to it. It's uncalled for and cruel, no excuse for people that evil.
jbone: since when is bugs considered animals? Anyway, it is illegal to kill Preying Mantises too.

No sorry, I am definitely against animal cruelty but I am not going consider that the same as murdering a human.

No, I wouldn't. Capital punishment = death. Cruelty to animals is a terrible thing, but like it or not... animals are not equal to humans. Cruelty to animals does not deserve a death penalty .This doesn't mean we can be nasty to animals; but they are NOT humans. Do you cry over the fly that smashed into your windshield the same way you do when you happen across a guy who was just killed and left lying on the street?

Not if meant killing every slaughterhouse operator. I have to have my meat. Having no beef and no chicken would be cruel and unusual punishment.

No, animals are animals, and should be thought of and treated as such. They are below humans, and thus exist to serve us. Animal testing is a highly appropriate use for such beings, otherwise they are simply a waste of space and oxygen.
