Locked away where it will die of loneliness. The best place is out in the world where people can access it. Some people will hurt it but it only takes one person to make it live forever,

In a lock box. And make sure you have two copies of the key. One for yourself so you can open it to share your love. The second one is to give to someone else ONLY when you are sure that they are the one so they can let themselves in anytime....even when you don't necessarily want them in. Sometimes they need in to fix things. If they turn out to not be the one after all, you can just change the lock.

Deeply buried in the middle of the forest. Then you won't be so tempted to give it to just anyone cause it will take a lot to retrieving to give.
